Our logo is a representation of the open organization
model which is the underlying foundation for our work. From a theoretical viewpoint, a
system (individual, team, or organization) is the sum of interlocking and interdependent
parts. The parts make the system work as a whole insofar as there is:

UNITY - wholeness; a unified vision, mission and
values. (the blue column)
INTERNAL RESPONSIVENESS - awareness of the system's
internal needs and the ability to respond to them. (the green column)
EXTERNAL RESPONSIVENESS - awareness of the system's
environment and the ability to respond and adapt to forces and changes in that
environment. (the red column)
Together these three qualities define an OPEN System. The
open organization model looks at these characteristics from three levels:
the INDIVIDUAL
person (the blue row)
the WORK GROUP (the green row)
the entire ORGANIZATION (the red
row)
Together the three qualities of the open system and the
three levels of analysis form a nine-window matrix that illustrates the complementary
relationships among the variables. The bold graphic wave illustrates the
inter-relationship that exists among all levels and qualities. For example, when a work
group is composed of individuals with high involvement and concern for one another
(INDIVIDUAL EXTERNAL RESPONSIVENESS), the problem solving and decision making skills of
the group (GROUP INTERNAL RESPONSIVENESS) are high.
